Dead
You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Revelation 3:1
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. 1 Timothy 5:6
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26
Sleeping
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5:14 NKJV
Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Acts 20:9
Awake
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 NIV
“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.” Revelation 16:15
Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. Luke 9:32
Waiting
Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Mark 15:43 NIV
keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:21 KJV
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 NIV
While we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, Titus 2:13 NIV
Watching
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. Matthew 24:42 NIV

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 NIV
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 NIV
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy 4:16
It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. Luke 12:37 NIV
Working
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” John 4:34

Fighting
